LABORATORYSAFETYAND PROFESSIONALCONDUCT
Introduction
Human Anatomy and Physiology,
especially
when studied alongside
Pathophysiology,
involves
exposure
tolaboratory
settings
wherebiological
specimens,
body
fluids
(e.g.,
blood,
urine),
chemical
reagents,
and sharp instruments
are commonly used.
Theseconditions
presentpotential
risksforcontamination,
infection,
and injury(Pasco,
2021).
As futuremedical
laboratory
professionals,
students
must learnand demonstrate
responsible,
ethical,
and safelaboratory
conduct
(Ingham,2023).The practice

Thislaboratory
activitywillserveas an essential
foundation,
ensuring
students
understand
how to handleanatomical

The goal istodevelophabitsand protocols
thatprioritize
