GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. The PAGLINGAAN 2025 Campus Olympics with the theme “Strength in Every Step,
Unity in Every Game” aims to strengthen camaraderie, teamwork, sportsmanship,
and excellence among students through sports, cultural, and artistic competitions.
2. All participating groups must strictly follow these guidelines and uphold the values of
fairness, respect, and integrity.
3. Each group must submit its final list of participants for all categories to the Program
Committee on or before October 15, 2025.
4. All music files or background tracks must be submitted to the Technical Team
headed by Mr. John Aron Lumibao on or before October 15, 2025.
5. Late submission of entries or materials may result in the deduction of points or
disqualification.
6. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
7. All performances must observe the time limits strictly. Exceeding the allotted time
will result in a deduction from the final score.
8. Participants and supporters are expected to exhibit proper decorum, respect, and
sportsmanship throughout the event.

BANNER RAISING COMPETITION
Dynamics
1. The competition is a race-type activity where participating groups must raise
their official banner on the flagpole as quickly as possible.
2. The first group to successfully raise its banner to the top of the pole wins the
event.
3. Banners must bear the team’s name, color, and logo.
4. Banner size: 3 ft. x 5 ft.

Dynamics
MASS DANCE COMPETITION
1. Each group must field 40–50 dancers performing a themed dance routine
inspired by the spirit of unity and school pride.
2. Music duration: 5-7 minutes.
3. Performances must include dynamic transitions, synchronized movements, and
creative formations.
4. Any other forms of tumbling and dangerous lifting formations during the
presentation are strictly prohibited to avoid any accidents or serious injuries.
5. Props and backdrops are allowed but must be safe, lightweight, and easy to clear
within 2 minutes.
6. All participating dancers must wear their department shirt. The bottom wear is
at the discretion of the department/team but must ensure decency and
relevance to the theme, and not prone to accident or danger.
7. Exceeding the time limit will incur deductions.

Dynamics
1. Each game shall consist of four (4) quarters, 15-30 minutes each (running time).
2. 5-minute halftime break.
3. Each team shall have 5 players on court and up to 7 substitutes.
4. Each team is allowed two (2) timeouts per half.
5. Players must wear proper basketball attire with visible jersey numbers.
6. Unsportsmanlike conduct (trash talk, taunting, or deliberate foul play) will result
in technical or disqualifying fouls.
7. Overtime: 3 minutes will be added if the score is tied at the end of regulation.

1. Team Composition
i. Each program shall field two (4) official representatives:
a. Two (2) players for the Men’s category
b. Two (2) players for the Women’s category
2. Tournament Format
i. Matches will be played in a round-robin format;
ii. Each representative will play against all other teams assigned to the same
board number.
3. Scoring System
i. Win = 1 point
ii. Draw = 0.5 point
iii. Loss = 0 point
4. Determination of Winners
i. The team with the highest total points will be declared the Champion.
ii. Tiebreak Rule:
Win over the other team will serve as the first tiebreak.

5. Default time:
i. A player who arrives 10 minutes late from the start of the round will forfeit

2. PARTICIPATION
1. Each team/department/organization shall field:
2. 100m, 200m, 800m: 1 participant per event for men and women, plus 1 substitute.
3. 4 x 100m Relay: 4 main runners, plus 4 substitutes.
4. Substitutes may replace an injured or disqualified runner before the start of the event
with prior notice to the committee.
3. ATTIRE
1. All participants must wear the official program shirt or same shirt color as identified
by their program head.
2. Running shoes or appropriate sports footwear are required.
4. VENUE AND TIME
1. Assembly Area: Bataraza Sports Complex
2. Default Call Time: 5 minutes before the start of the event.
3. Late participants beyond the call time may be disqualified.
5. GENERAL MECHANICS
1. a. 100m and 200m Sprint
2. Participants shall run in their designated lanes throughout the race.
3. The fastest time recorded wins.
4. False start results in a warning; two false starts lead to disqualification.
5. b. 800m Middle Distance
6. Participants start in lanes but may merge to the inner lane after the first bend as
instructed by the starter.
7. The first three finishers based on time will be declared winners.
8. Pacing and blocking are not allowed.
9. c. 4 x 100m Relay
10. Each team must have four runners passing a baton within the exchange zone.
11. Dropping the baton or passing outside the zone leads to disqualification.
12. The team finishing first without violations wins.

6. SCORING AND RESULTS
1. Results will be based on official timing and ranking by the event marshals.
2. Protests must be submitted within 5 minutes after the event, addressed to the
Track and Field Committee.
3. The committee’s decision is final.
7. SAFETY AND CONDUCT
1. Participants must perform warm-up exercises before the event.
2. Unsportsmanlike conduct, such as arguing with officials or interfering with other
runners, will result in disqualification.
3. All participants must respect the rules, officials, and co-athletes at all times.

Each player must knock down all five tin cans.
Players may use their own strategy to accomplish the objective.
Crossing the throwing line is strictly prohibited. Any player caught crossing will be required to return
to the starting point and then continue.
After successfully knocking down all tin cans, players must answer the exit password to proceed to
the next station.
Scoring Criterion: Based on time, the fastest player or team wins.
ATCHOY
Each team must reach a total of 20 points using only their feet to control the Atchoy.
The team that reaches 20 points in the shortest time wins.
Each team is composed of five (5) members.
The game begins once the facilitator signals “Go!”
The first player starts by controlling or tossing the Atchoy using only their foot.
Each successful control or kick = 1 point.
A player must earn 5 points before passing the Atchoy to the next member.
If the Atchoy is dropped or not properly controlled, that player’s score resets to 0, and they must
start again.
The Atchoy must only be passed to the next member after achieving 5 points.
The team continues the rotation until they reach a total of 20 points.
The facilitator will record each team’s total time from the start of the signal until they reach 20 points.
The team that finishes in the shortest time will be declared the winner.
Only feet are allowed to touch the Atchoy — no hands or other body parts.
Dropping the Atchoy resets the player’s current points to zero.
KADANG KADANG
Arrange chairs for each team and mark the starting line.
The first player starts at the signal.
Run to the chair, go around it once, and return to the starting point.
Tag the next player to continue.
All players must complete the task.
The team that finishes first wins.
LUKSONG LUBID (JUMP ROPE GAME)
Each team has 5 members.
2 players hold the rope and swing it continuously.
The remaining 3 players jump inside the rope.
Once all are jumping, they must count 1 to 5 aloud while jumping.
The team that completes the sequence fastest and correctly wins.

General Information
Format: Round Robin (Best of 2)
Scoring System:
2–0 Win: 3 Points
1–1 Draw: 1 Point each team
0–2 Loss: 0 Points
Team Entry Limit: Maximum of 2 Teams per Department
Team Composition: 5 Main Players + 1 Optional Substitute
Tournament Mechanics
Match Setup
Each team will face all other teams within their group in a Round Robin format.
Every match will consist of 2 games (Best of 2).
The team with the highest total points at the end of the round will advance or be declared champion
(depending on the number of teams).
Game Settings
Map: (Draft Pick)
Game Mode: 5v5
The team on top of the bracket will have first pick in the Draft Pick phase for Game 1.
Tie-Breaking Rules
If two or more teams have equal points, the ranking will be decided by:
Head-to-head result
Total game wins
Tiebreak match (Best of 1)
Substitutions
Substitutes may only be used between games or between matches.
The substitute must be registered before the start of the tournament.
Rules and Regulation
Eligibility
Only registered participants are allowed to play.
Teams must represent their respective departments.
A player may only play for one team throughout the tournament.
Conduct
Players must show sportsmanship and respect toward opponents, referees, and organizers.
All matches will be monitored by the Tournament martial.
Technical Rules
Players must use their own mobile devices and a stable internet connection.
In case of disconnection:
The game will continue, and the disconnected player may reconnect.
A rematch will only be allowed if a major technical issue occurs within the first 2 minutes and no first blood or
turret destruction has occurred.
Match Schedule
Teams must be ready 15 minutes before their scheduled match.
Failure to appear within 10 minutes of the call time will result in forfeiture.
Disqualification Guidelines
A team may be disqualified for the following:

CULTURAL DANCE COMPETITION
Dynamics
1. Each group must field 6-12 dancers performing a specific traditional/ethnic
dance or a creative interpretation rooted in a recognized culture or region.
2. Must maintain the integrity of the cultural dance form while allowing for creative
staging and presentation.
3. Music duration: 3-5 minutes.
4. All movements, including lifts or formations, must be executed safely.
5. No explicit, offensive, or culturally disrespectful content is allowed.
6. Hand-carried props relevant to the dance are generally allowed. Use of
hazardous, flammable, or messy materials is strictly prohibited.
7. Props and backdrops are must be safe, lightweight, and easy to clear within 2
minutes.
8. Participants must wear costumes that are authentic or appropriately
representative of the culture/dance being performed.
9. Exceeding the time limit will incur deductions.

Dynamics
1. Each group must field 6-12 dancers.
2. Must be primarily Hip-Hop/Modern Dance styles (e.g., popping, locking, krump,
house, breakdance, choreography). Other styles may be incorporated but must
not dominate.
3. Music duration: 3-5 minutes.
4. All movements, including lifts or formations, must be executed safely.
5. No nude, vulgar, or offensive movements, music, or attire.
6. Hand-carried props relevant to the dance are generally allowed. Use of
hazardous, flammable, or messy materials is strictly prohibited.
7. Props and backdrops are must be safe, lightweight, and easy to clear within 2
minutes.
8. Attire is permitted. Costumes must be decent and non-offensive. Removing
clothing is permitted if done in character and not offensive.

1. Contestants may choose a song from any genre (e.g., OPM, English only, classical).
2. The song lyrics must be appropriate for all audiences and must not contain
profanity, vulgarity, or inappropriate/political allusions.
3. Contestants must submit their chosen song title and accompanying
instrumental/backing track(s) (in a specified format like MP3) by the deadline.
4. Backing tracks must be purely instrumental and must not contain any prerecorded lead vocals or excessive background harmonies that mimic the lead.
5. Live accompaniment is permitted.
6. Music duration: 3-4 minutes.
7. The song and lyrics must be fully memorized. No lyric sheets or video screens for
lyrics are generally allowed.
8. Contestants should be in proper and decent attire appropriate for the song and

3. Entries must be the participant's original work and not a copy of any copyrighted

4. Art previously exhibited, revised, or awarded in other competitions are ineligible.
5. Clearly define accepted art disciplines (e.g., painting, sculpture, digital art).

SPOKEN POETRY
Dynamics
Every Department of PalSU of Bataraza Campus must choice a participant
limited to one entry.
The spoken poetry piece must be an original composition by the participant.
If quotes from other writers are used, they must be verbally cited during the
performance.
The piece must be relevant to the specified theme of the contest.
Content must be appropriate and must not contain any malicious, offensive, or
derogatory language.
The language of the piece is English, Filipino, or both, but it was prohibiting
"Taglish" or a mix, though this varies.
The piece must be delivered from memory.
The minimum and maximum time limit 3 to 5 minutes.
Penalties: there deduction point for every 10(ten) second over the grace period
Background music, sounds, or instrumental accompaniment is allowed to
complement the delivery.
Props and costumes are generally discouraged or outright prohibited.
Participants should wear attire appropriate for their piece or the event.
