Group Assignment 3: Making a video presentation in PowerPoint
Computer Applications
Lecturer:Ivan Innocent Sekibenga
1. Tutorial on making video presentations in PowerPoint
Once you have completed designing your PowerPoint presentation slides, you can easily convert the entire
presentation into a video that can be shared. This is particularly useful for sharing your presentation online
say on youtube or for creating a self-running video slideshow. You will have to work on a PC or laptop that
has an inbuilt webcam or attached camera.
You will include a cameo to enable you present in the video via your webcam attached to your PC or laptop.
With cameo, you can insert your live camera feed directly on a PowerPoint slide. Click on this link to watch
this video and learn how you can do it: https://youtu.be/D8JV3w4TOVw.
2. Group Assignment
1. In a group, you will create one PowerPoint presentation video having no more than 10 slides and no
more than 10 minutes in duration. The topic of your presentation is “Lessons and wisdom i learnt
from the Covid-19 pandemic period”.
2. The title slide should bear the title(Lessons and wisdom i learnt from the Covid-19 pandemic
period), names and registration numbers of the group members(presenters).
3. Your presentation slides should obey the two golden rules for professional presentations as presented in
my lectures. Ensure you use appropriate themes, layouts, transitions, slide numbers, date and footers.
Use appropriate photos, graphs, charts and tables if deemed necessary but do not insert videos into your
slides.
4. Each group member should decide which slides to present live via cameo, remembering to quickly
introduce him or herself in the video prior to presenting. Remeber to rehearse your presentation and
record the timings for each slide if needed. You can use the Rehearse Timings feature in PowerPoint
to help you with this.
5. The presentation should be saved with a suitable file name and exported as a .mp4 video file format
with resolution specifications as HD(720p).
6. Once saved, you can then upload it as an email attachment and send to isekibenga@kyu.ac.ug. If
your video file is too large to be sent as an email attachment, you can upload it to a cloud storage
service such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive and share the link via email.
7. The deadline for submission is Monday 13 October 2025 at midnight.
**God bless you all as you work on this assignment.**
