The quality factor (Q-factor) is an important parameter that quantifies the sharpness of the resonance
of a metamaterial absorber. It is defined as the ratio of the resonance frequency (f0 ) to the full-width at
half-maximum (FWHM) of the resonance curve:
Q= f0/FWHM =245.56
The biggest advantage of the High Q-factor MTM absorber sensor is its high sensitivity and precise
sensing capability.
We have got permittivity is negative, permeability is positive at resonant frequency. so we can say this is
a single negative MTM.
The proposed metamaterial absorber shows very small variation in the S11 value when the incident
wave angles θ and φ change from 0° to 120°. This invariance indicates that the structure is angleindependent, which is mainly due to its symmetrical shape and resonance at specific locations.
Therefore, we can say it is a perfect MTM absorber.
Surface current density helps us to understand how energy is confined and absorbed with in the
structure.
Power loss density The red marks indicate that the power loss is high in this region. Means most of EM
wave is absorbed in this region
