Aga Khan Trust Delhi
The Aga Khan Trust Delhi has played a transformative role in preserving the city’s rich cultural
heritage. A key initiative was the development of the Humayun’s Tomb Museum, located in the
Nizamuddin area. As highlighted by the official museum site , the Aga Khan Trust Delhi conducted
detailed heritage impact assessments and used ground-penetrating radar to protect
archaeological remains. The museum connects three significant sites—Humayun’s Tomb, Sunder
Nursery, and Nizamuddin Basti—creating a cultural corridor. Through this initiative, the Aga Khan
Trust Delhi promotes sustainable conservation and celebrates Delhi’s architectural and historical
legacy for future generations.
