PURPOSE
The aim of this document is to provide for all PBF CTRs the test pack dossier index in order to facilitate a
smooth transfer of the piping facilities between construction / Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning.
The test pack dossier index is applicable for PBF FPSO packages onshore and offshore and for SURF
packages but only for offshore activities. It can also be applicable offshore for SPS packages if piping activities
are part of the topside SOW.
CPY can decide during the Pre-Commissioning preparation that a PBF's CTR doesn't issue a test pack dossier
if its SOW is reduced. In that case, the contents of the test pack dossier must be included in the PreCommissioning dossier (section 2.4 and 2.5)

TEST PACK TEMPLATE DOSSIER
CTR shall compile all documentation pertaining to the Pre-Commissioning operations in a specific dossier
“Test pack dossier” arranged by sub-system, which shall contain all the information required to demonstrate
to CPY that all pipes are checked and tested as described in the general specification.
Numbering scheme for test pack dossier number: “@-XXXX-YY-TP-ZZZZ”.

ZZZZ: discrimination code (alpha/numeric identification for several test pack in the same sub-system).
Each test pack shall have its test pack dossier.
The test pack status index from ICAPS will be issued in the Pre-Commissioning dossier. The item name of the
Test Pack will be the reference of the Test Pack Dossier Number. All test pack dossiers which are part of the
same sub-system shall be presented for review prior to the signature of the Ready For Commissioning
certificate.
In annexe the test pack template dossier.
For each PBF project the test pack template dossier (electronic format) is done by CPY and transmits to CTR.
It contents:
 COVER: With name and number of the sub-system, CTR’s logo, CTR’s contract number and the Test Pack
Dossier Number.
 COVER SIDE: With name and number of the sub-system and CTR’s logo.
 DOSSIER INDEX: All cells shall be ticked or put NA if it’s not applicable. No blank is accepted.

TEST PACK COMPOSITION
 ICAPS sheet CLX-01 is the composition of test pack (listing all lines with PI&D’s/ISO identification) and its
activities.

P&ID AND ASSOCIATED ISOMETRICS WITH TEST PACK LIMITS
 Latest set P&ID and associated isometrics colour marked-up with test pack limits per hydrotest /
flushing / cleaning pack. All documents in this dossier shall be copied unless otherwise specified. All
drawings should be marked up ‘As Pre-commissioned’, refer to Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning
red-line mark-up as Built Procedure AO-060-PG-0140-000001.

CALIBRATION CERTIFICATES
 All necessary calibration certificates for test equipment : temperature / pressure recorder, gauges …

PIPEWORK BEFORE TEST
 ICAPS sheet CLX-02A shall be applicable to a whole test pack with the listing of all lines
 No blank is accepted. All cells shall be filled in.
 Its relevant QC dossier ( for the pipe support)

NDT CLEARANCE TEST
 Non destructive test ICAPS sheet TMX-07 with its relevant QC dossier (welding follow up document)
 The NDT clearance will be checked prior Test Pack activities.

 FLUSHING / CLEANING
 CTR shall prepare the flushing/Cleaning of pipework Test Sheet T-MX-05 (one Test Sheet for each
flushing/Cleaning operation).
 CTR shall carry out the flushing/Cleaning operations according to the flushing/Cleaning specification
 CTR shall put the flushing/Cleaning procedure in the dossier.

CLEANING CHEMICAL / PICKLING
 CTR shall prepare the cleaning chemical/pickling of pipework Test Sheet T-MX-04 (one Test Sheet for each
cleaning chemical/pickling operation).
 CTR shall carry out the cleaning chemical/pickling operations according to the cleaning chemical/pickling
specification
 CTR shall put the cleaning chemical/pickling procedure in the dossier.





BOLT TENSIONING / TORQUING

PIPEWORK PRESSURE TEST
This Test Sheet TMX-27 shall be applicable to a whole test pack.
Results to be checked in the QC/installation documentation.
Attach the mark up isometric of flanges
Datasheet & safety notice of fluid used.
 CTR shall monitor all Pressure Tests with a temperature/pressure recorder and pressure gauge
 CTR shall, when ready to carry out a Pressure Test, complete the Test Sheet T-MX-03 excluding the Test
Results section with its chart recorder signed (by present persons) and dated.
 CTR shall put the Pressure Test procedure in the dossier.

PIPWORK AFTER TEST
 ICAPS sheet CLX-02B shall be applicable to a whole test pack with the listing of all the lines
 No blank is accepted. All cells shall be filled in

PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION
 ICAPS sheet C-XX-04 shall be applicable to a whole test pack with the listing of all the lines

 ICAPS sheet CXX-01 shall be applicable to a whole test pack with the listing of all the lines

 ICAPS sheet CXX-02 shall be applicable to a whole test pack with the listing of all the lines

 GROSS LEAK TEST
 Latest set P&ID colour marked-up with gross leak test
 Each gross leak test shall be verified by CTR and CPY by completion of Test Sheet T-MX-25.
 After successful test completion, CTR shall re-instate the lines (reinstallation of removed items,
removal of temporary blinds and repositioning of permanent spectacle blinds) and carry out the
necessary works to reach the preservation status defined in the relevant specification.
 CTR shall put the Gross Leak Test procedure in the dossier.

PUNCH LIST
 Refer to the punch list management procedure reference AO-060-PG-0140-000002
If in a subsystem there are several test pack , they will be regrouped in a final test pack only for the checking
of thermal insulation, painting line, passive fire protection, personal protection and gross leak test.
In the test pack dossier index , in the column “ tick as appropriate” put FTP on activities which will be checked
in the final test pack and report the final test pack number in observation.

Check the installation of all pipe-supports are in accordance with the specifications and drawings.
2 Check that springs have shipping-stops fitted and that the piping sits on.
3 Check that pipework at pump and vessel nozzles are free from spring.
4 Check the location of the pipe anchors.
5 Check the alignment of the pipe guides.
6 Check that the pipe flanges have been mounted square to each other. Also that the bolting and gaskets are correct.
7 Check bolt tensionning and torquing . When applicable use T-MX-27 form.

1 Check that the pipework and equipment are drained as per procedure.
2 Before definitive closure, insure that all flanges has been painted (internal side).
3 Check that the pipework and equipment (re)installation conforms to the specifications, drawings and to the P&ID's.
4 Check that the pipework does not anyway load and stress the equipment it is serving.
5 Check that new gasket have been installed after pipework and equipment reinstallation.
6 All plugs installed on vents and drains for test have been removed.
7 Check that all removed fragile devices and critical valves have been re-installed.
8 Check if all temporary equipment (test spades, filters, spool pieces…etc) have been removed.
9 All specific blinds and/or spectacle blinds have been correctly installed as per PID.
10 Check that the pipework, valves, check valves are undamaged. Also check the ancillaries and any other components.
11 After the (re)installation of a valve check that it operates freely.
12 Check that the flow direction of the valves and ckeck-valve is in the correct sense/direction.
13 Check that the valves have been correctly lubricated and that they have the correct spindle packing.
14 Check that all the bolts and fasteners are suitably lubricated.
15 Check that the bolts have been retensioned at opened joints.
16 Check that all golden welds (final tie-ins without hydrotest) have been performed as per procedure.
17 Produce a set of marked-up drawings in accordance with the installation.
18 Produce a defects list for issue in the Punch List.
