English Grammar Notes – Unit 6: Comparatives and Superlatives
🔍 Introduction: Why is this topic important?
In both forensic reports and traffic accident investigations, we often need to compare
evidence, damage, vehicles, or conditions. For example, when two crashes occur, it is
essential to say which one was more severe, which vehicle was faster, or which surface
was less slippery. Knowing how to use comparative and superlative adjectives allows
you to describe situations with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.
📘 1. What are adjectives?
Adjectives are words that describe or give more information about nouns (people, places,
things).
🔎 En español: los adjetivos califican o describen a los sustantivos.
✅ Examples:
a fast car (un auto rápido)
a serious accident (un accidente grave)
📈 2. Comparative Adjectives

Comparatives are used to compare two things.
🔎 Comparan dos entidades: objetos, personas, situaciones, etc.
