Activating Online Identity and Requesting OneCard
Step 1: Please click this link to check your UNI NO (TMU ID) and your Student ID (TMUIC ID):

1) If you have a UNI NO, then proceed to the Online Activation steps below. You will need your UNI NO to
complete your online activation, so please make note of this number.
2) If the UNI NO field is blank, you may have enrolled late and your account is still being set up. You will
receive a follow up email with activation instructions when your number has been processed.
Follow the link to fill out the online identity activation form:

Step 1: Enter your legal name and date of birth as it appears on your application. Select “I am a TMU
application, student, or former student” and enter the UNI NO found on your student portal. Procced to
the next page by clicking “Next”.
Step 2: Read and agree to the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Policy, answering all of the
True and False questions.

Step 3: Choose a my.torontomu username and password. You will use this to access online resources at
TMU. You will need to remember this username and password, so please make note of this information.
Step 4: Set up two-factor authentication for added security. If you log in to your account on an
unrecognized device, you will be asked to enter an authentication code.
Step 5: Click next to complete the online activation.
Note: Your my.torontomu username and password also acts as your login for your Google Suite account.
This is where you will access your TMU Email and Google Drive storage.
Applying for your Student OneCard:
Once you have completed your Online Identity Activation, please proceed to requesting your OneCard
via the link below:
Apply Online - University Business Services - Toronto Metropolitan University (torontomu.ca)
Step 1: This refers to your Online Identity which you have just completed. No further action is required if
you have activated your online identity.
Step 2: You will be required to submit a photograph of yourself which will be on your TMUIC/TMU
OneCard. This section will give you detailed instructions on which types of photographs can be
submitted. Please pay special attention to this as your photo submission will be declined if it does not
match the specific requirements.
Step 3: This section will provide you with the link to your online portal where you will submit your
application. You will use the new username and password you created during the online identity
activation to access your online portal.
