TASK 1:
The line graphs illustrate the prison men and women in a European nation over a century
period.
Overall, the number of men in prison is more than twice as women. Additionally, the graph of
men tended to grow rapidly while female's one had a dramatic decline from 1911 to 2001.
Around the first ten years there was a significant decrease and virtually remained stable until
1941around 10000 people. After that, from 1941 to 1951, the number of prison men rise slightly
on the contrary stayed unchanged in the next twenty years. There was considerable increase of
prion male until 1981 and continuously rose and eventually peaked at about 45000 people in
2001.
In contrast, the amount of prison women is less than men dramatically. the quantity of women
fell substantially in the first thirty years. Then the stark fluctuation in the remaining years from
increase to decrease and climbed again, stood at 1800 women in 2001.
The maps illustrate some proposed changes to the central area of the town from 1990 to the
present day.
It is clear that the principal change to the town will be the residential area. Various other
developments with regard to small shops and banks will accompany the building of this town.
In the north of town, there was a row of shops along side of the Smith Street and currently
replaced by a larger shopping mall, but children care’s area still remained unchanged and the
similar to the west of the town. In the middle of the central town, many suites associated with
park, library and town hall were stayed stably from 1990. Opposite suites, a bank is now
removed by a new café and added by pedestrian markings. Most of houses in 1990 have been
alternated by apartment blocks on Green Street and especially, dwellers go by foot instead of
using cars in the present day.
