RUBIK’S CUBE
CHALLENGE MECHANICS
Rubiks cube participants:
Students from grade 6 are qualified to join the competition. Each section shall have an elimination
round and a representative for the final round.
Cube:
1. Each cube should have the standard color orientation
• White and yellow are opposite
• Red and orange are opposite
• Blue and green are opposite
2. Should be in a good rotating condition
3. Each player should prepare a 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube
Competition Proper
1. Each player will solve 1 cube. The top 3 fastest will be considered winners
2. The qualified participants will be ranked according to their time in the final round. The fastest
will be declared winner.
3. Any form of cheating will lead to disqualification.

• Pausing and resetting the game
4. The facilitator will scramble the cube based on a specific sequence.
5. After the scrambling of the cube should be placed at the table and covered.
6. The competitors will then be instructed to remove the cover and begin inspection. The
inspection will only last 15 seconds. A time which, they must set the cube back on their table.
7. The competitors must then set both hands on the table before pressing the start on the timer
and solving the cube. The solved will be considered completed once the cube has been set on
the table and the timer has been stopped.
8. The competitor will not be allowed to touch the cube and reset the timer before the facilitator
recorded the result.
9. Time limit of 5minutes will be implemented, if the participants are not able to solve the cube
