Preamble
This Support Note describes how to install the softwares CANoe and CANalyzer. For the installation of
any Vector software administrator rights (Domain or Local) must be available.

Installation of CANoe/CANalyzer
In the following chapter the installation of Vector CANoe or CANalyzer is described for versions from
11.0 (main release). If you like to install an older version of CANoe/CANalyzer or other Vector
software you find similar installation guides in the Vector KnowledgeBase article How to Install Vector
Software Tools. .

How to Install CANoe or CANalyzer (from Version 11.0 on)
Please run the autorun.exe as an administrator (right click → Run as administrator)
Select: Install CANoe
You have to allow the Installer to change the PC settings.

How to Install CANoe or CANalyzer (from Version 11.0 on)
Left Column
> Now you can choose in the left column which parts of CANoe/ CANalyzer you want
to install. File Editors (e.g. Autosar Explorer, Fibex Explorer) can be selected
individually. Diagnostic Tools (e.g. CandelaStudio, ODXStudio) can be selected
individually.
Right Column
> You have to select if you are using this software in the United States of America or
not. If you want to use the software in the United States of America you have to
check the box.
> You can change the Installation path, change the name of the Start menu entry,
select which language you want to use and the Application data location.
If pleased with the selection click on Next.

How to Install CANoe or CANalyzer (from Version 11.0 on)
In the last step you will see a summary of the choices you have made, if you want to change one of
the features you have selected before, you have to go back. If you are pleased with the selected
settings, click on Install and wait until the installation is finished:
After you have finished the installation you have just to select Exit.
