H1 PROGRESS REPORT
Project: E-Secondary School.
Project Scope: Development of self-paced asynchronous secondary school e-Learning courses.
Reporting Period: March 17th, 2025 – July 9th, 2025.
Prepared by: Head, E-Learning and Instructional Design Team.
Date of Report: July 9th, 2025
1. Summary
Between March and July 2025, the e-learning team made significant achievements in the
design, development, and deployment of asynchronous self-paced courses for secondary school
learners across major subject areas. The team leveraged a blend of instructional design
strategies, media development tools, and AI-enhanced content creation workflows to ensure
highly interactive, intelligible, simplified and curriculum aligned learning experiences.
This period focused on core subject development, LMS integration, iterative team capacitybuilding and peer-peer review of the courses developed. Which in turn will make the lunch of
the core courses across all classes through the LMS platform feasible by the end of August.
2. Project Goals (Q1–Q2 2025)
Goal
Status
Develop self-paced courses in the core subject areas for
Junior and Senior Secondary.
26 courses were fully
developed.
Integrate AI-assisted content generation (Gemini AI,
ChatGPT, Copilot) and explainer/narration videos.
Integrated into scripting, quiz
generation and Science Subjects
animated explainer videos.
Ensure SCORM-compliance and LMS readiness
Tested on Moodle using a web
browser on computer, phones and
tablets.

5. Challenges Encountered
•
AI-generated content accuracy: Required manual refinement and humanization of the
output from the AI responses to ensure curriculum alignment and local relevance.
•
AI-generated images: the images at times appear distorted, including misspelled words
or inaccurate visual depictions. Also, multiple email accounts had to be created to be
created to register with ChatGPT to generate images.
•
Insufficient knowledge of Instructional Design Principles: Principles including clarity,
execution on Rise360, design principles, succinct content, content consistency,
typography, Prior knowledge link and real-life connections. Training had to be provided.
•
Team adaptation to Rise 360 advanced features: Additional in-house training was
delivered in June.
•
Content developed by the SME’s had some vocabulary inconsistencies, ambiguity, and
at times not very localized illustrations or examples.
•
Reliable broadband service and stable internet connection.
6. Next Steps (July–August 2025)
•
Complete the remaining core subjects (English Language- 10 & 11, Mathematics- 9 10 &
12, Fin. Accounting- 10, 11 & 12, Economics- 12, CRS 10,11&12, Lit-In-English10,11&12, Commerce- 10,11&12, Biology- 10,11&12, Physics- 10,11&12 and
Chemistry- 10,11&12, Government -10)
•
Peer-Peer review and proofreading of the courses developed.
•
Export all courses as SCORM and upload to Moodle LMS
•
Develop learner support materials on the Moodle platform (FAQs, supplementary
resources for further studies, extra practice questions amongst others.)
•
Commence development of the remaining courses for both Junior and Senior Secondary
School.
9. Conclusion
The H1 report reflects strong alignment with the project roadmap, thanks to a dedicated team
and smart integration of AI and multimedia tools. The team is well positioned to deliver a
successful rollout of the core courses by the end of August 2025.
