A Level circuits
Filament lamp
As voltage increases current increases however the rate of increase decreases meaning a curved graph instead of a straight line
As it heats up the resistance increases due to atoms bumping each other more
DOESN’T FOLLOW OHMS LAW
Wire
Represented by a line.
Acts as a pathway for the current and connects different components.
Provides the electrons for the current to flow
Resistor
Inhibits the current. Can have different values and the resistance it provides can change over time.
Due to the flow of electrons being inhibited the resistor will heat up as more electrons are stopped from flowing.
There are different types of resistors
Variable resistors
Do the same thing as a resistor however the resistance can be changed when needed
