Part 1:
The writing Genre of the “Draft of the Analysis of Writing Concepts” is an essay that was
written in MLA format.
The audience are Professor Kat and myself.
The topic demanded us to share the methods we know and use to effectively write in any
writing situation. It required us to mention how we use the methods and the different
rhetorical concepts that we utilize for the most effective approach. I even shared everything
that I’ve learned so far in this course from all the class-activities and assignments as they
were all directed to enhance my knowledge on these concepts.
Professor Kat already has in-depth knowledge on the topic that I wrote about. She knows
everything that a writer needs to know about rhetorical concepts. Thus, she can relate to
my essay throughout the entire content.
I identified my audience before initiating the essay and bore it in my mind throughout the
essay. As it was my professor whom I was writing for, I made sure that my tone was
professional and my essay was informative as I wanted to show her everything that I
know regarding the topic.
Yes. It was an example of context that I thought of writing. It was regarding a personal
domestic incident back home that I dread about till date. At first I thought of including
the example but later reconsidered and didn’t move forward with it.
Yes, I did. A recent example would be my college application essay that I had planned,
made drafts, and worked on for months. My lack of experience was exactly why it took
me months to finish, as I believe if I am asked to write another college application essay
now, it wouldn’t require as much work as it did to write a similar essay.
