Read the following instructions carefully:
●​ Study the direct method of converting regular expression to DFA from Subsections
3.9.1 to 3.9.5 of Chapter 3 of the reference textbook
●​ Convert the following regular expression into DFA (1 regex corresponding to your
roll), then simulate the DFA using an example and a counter-example of your own:
1.​ (1|0)*010(0|1)+​

[roll % 5 = 1]
2.​ (0|10)+110?​ ​
​
[roll % 5 = 2]
3.​ 1(0|1)*011 | 0(0|1)*100​ [roll % 5 = 3]
4.​ 1*(01+)+01*​​
​
[roll % 5 = 4]
5.​ (00|11|(01|10)(01|10))*​
[roll % 5 = 0]
Sample: Regex : (0|1)*1. Draw the DFA. Take an example 1011. Write how 1011
will be accepted in the DFA. Take counterexample 1010. Write how 1010 will be
rejected in the DFA.
