RE: END OF TERM II 2025 CIRCULAR LETTER NO.112
1.0
GREETINGS
On behalf of the management team and the entire Namilyango College community, I extend warm
greetings to you all and thank the Almighty God for his providence throughout the term.
2.0
APPRECIATION
We also do extend our sincere appreciation to all of you for entrusting us with your son(s) and for paying
school dues and providing the boys with the necessary school requirements throughout the term.
3.0
THEME OF THE YEAR
SOW GENEROUSLY TO REAP GENEROUSLY (2ND Cor 9:6)
4.0 COUNSELLING MEETINGS
We were able to organize exclusive professional talks with our students of S1,2,3 and 5 on the 11th and
12th August, 2025 where topics covering Career and Hygiene, New curriculum, Morals and Values,
social media and mental wellbeing, staying away from addictions, and many other motivation and
inspiration topics. We hope that the knowledge obtained from these talks is visible in their day to day
lives. We are also planning to hold talks with our candidates who at the time we had this exercise were
deeply engaged with their MOCK examinations.
5.0
END OF TERM II, 2025
The term has ended today Friday 22nd August, 2025. We congratulate all our students for the educational
accomplishments this term.
The boys did their End of term examinations starting on the 4th to 10th August, 2025 after which we
continued teaching alongside the scoring process until Wednesday, 20th August,2025. Your child’s report
is ready as you read this and is accessible online using the Zeraki Analytics application on your
phone/computer. If you have not yet downloaded the application you are encouraged to do so for this
purpose. In case of any challenge please contact Mr. Awuzu Bernard on 0783629979.
6.0
TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS
The teaching and learning process of term two 2025 has been very exhaustive and engaging in all the
classes. Extra lessons have been taught to make up for any lost time and also to catch up with the schemed
work, on the other hand remedial lessons have also been taught in all classes to improve the masterly of
content. Notes checking continues to be done to ensure all boys have well written notes, we encourage
you to check whether the boys have all their note books with well-organized notes. Regular Testing
especially in candidate classes has been done and is still ongoing to ensure the boys are well exposed to
different question answering techniques.
6.1 ASSESSMENT
1. Senior One and Two; Students in these classes have done AOI’S and end of term examinations.
2. Senior three; S3 has done AOI’S, Subjects achievement (CAI’S), mid-term and End of term exams.
3. Senior five; They have done mid-term and end of term examinations. The new curriculum is very
demanding in terms of materials and exposure trips. We thank parents who have facilitated their sons
to ensure that they participate in all these exposure engagements.
6.2
UCE and UACE
The candidates were subjected to three sets of MOCKS, Internal Mocks, MUKONO and UNNASSE
mock examinations. The internal mocks were scored and results were shared. The other sets are being
marked and outcomes will be shared at the start of term three.
The senior four candidates also did continuous assessment as required and all their scores were submitted
to UNEB.
7.0
SCHOOL FEES
I take this opportunity to thank you our dear parents/guardians for making every effort to pay school fees
for our sons. In a special way I do appreciate those parents that paid fees on time. It is my prayer that God
enables you to fully clear the school fees of your son(s) at the start of the term as this goes a long way to
enable us run the school smoothly.

(a) No Student will be allowed in the College without clearing outstanding balances from term 2.
(b) No Student will be allowed in the College without clearing school fees for term three.

8.0
OTHER SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS:
Please take note of the following requirements;
a) Cash of UGX 50,000/= as Medical Fees should be paid on reporting day for all students.
b) Cash of UGX 250,000/= for the skills training Program should be paid by all Students Participating in
DIY- (Do It Yourself) Program and those intending to join should also pay the same amount of money.
c) S.6 students who have not paid for their Social event will add 400,000/- to their school fees
since the College cleared the fees to ensure the success of the function.
d) S.2, S.3 and S5 students are required to bring a ream of photocopier papers (STRICTLY DOUBLE A
- original).
S1, S.4 and S.6 should bring a ream of Ruled Papers (500 SHEETS) which will be handed to the
procurement officer on the reporting day. No student will be cleared without the required ream.
9.0
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
House; A water bottle, a Watch, 10 rolls of toilet paper, a basin, a jerrican, a mopping rug, a belt,
underwear, a 500ml bottle of Jik, Vim, undershirt, an umbrella, Sports shoes. Socks, towel etc.…
Class; 10 counter books, relevant text books, a calculator, a school bag, a long ruler, a geometry set, a
folder file, a graph book.
10.0
REMINDERS:
i. In our move to reduce on loss and misplacement of property, we emphasize that all “O” level students
must report with labeled property, including all clothes. Items that will not be labeled will be sent
back home.
ii. The hooded jumpers were banned but some boys still sneak them into school, you are therefore
advised to buy hoodless jumpers for them. Any boy who may have lost his school sweater or necktie
should have them replaced by making payments to the bursary.
iii. All boys are expected to dress decently and smartly during Sunday Mass, please provide them with
decent clothes for use on Sunday.
11.0 UNIFORM:
The Uniform of the College MUST be maintained. Please ensure that your son has
proper school uniform that has not been adjusted without the permission of College
management. Any student found with an adjusted uniform will only be cleared after
buying a new one.
NB: Continued adjusting of uniform by any boy may lead to a suspension.
12.0
CO –CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Our boys took part in a number of games at the National level and at the district level as
shared here below
(i) Mukono District Games
Our football team participated in the Mukono district sports association games as qualifiers for nationals.
Where we lost at the preliminaries an improvement compared to previous years.
(ii) Friendly games
We hosted students from Mwiri College in a number of sports disciplines that included Rugby, football,
cricket, volley ball, chess, table tennis and basketball. Our boys won all games except volley ball and chess.
(iii) National games- Bukedea
Five of our teams participated in the Uganda secondary Schools sports association games 2025 in the
disciplines summarized from then 5th to the 14th of May 2025.

The three of our teams that excelled in the national games represented the country in Kakamega – Kenya
for the East Africa secondary school games that will be ended on the 23rd August, 2025.
(v) Rugby Sevens
We also participated in the Rugby Sevens Central Secondary Schools league where we presented two
teams; U17 and U20.
Both of our teams emerged CHAMPIONS out of the eight schools that took part.
(vi) FUFA TV CUP
The college football team participated in the FUFA TV football championship organized by FUFA where we were
eliminated in the round of 16.
(Vii) Cricket School League
The college cricket team also took part in the central schools’ league. We however failed to qualify for the national
games after registering 2 wins and four losses.
B) INTER HOUSE SPORTS DAY
We held our inter house sports day competition on the 5th July, 2025 where Hanlon house emerged the overall
winners out of the twelve houses.
Our sports day was presided over by Assistant Commissioner General of prisons Mr. Hillary Bisanga who
donated a bull to the winning house and pledged to support the school brass band with equipment. We
appreciate him for sharing words of inspiration in his address of the day.
On this very sports day the old boys of (1990 – 1996) donated a consignment of Tennis balls (200), Tennis
rackets (14) and promised to Renovate the two tennis courts a promise that has already been fulfilled. We
appreciate both the guest of honor and the old boys for the support extended to the college.

(c) DEBATE
Our debate club has participated in four National debate championships this term 2 and below is how we have
performed.
i. We emerged champions of UNSA Mukono regional public speech, poetry and debate championships and
we are set to represent the region to the nationals to be held at Vision for
ii. Africa high school Kayunga from the 24th to 28th August 2025.
iii. We emerged Champions of the 13th National debate council public speech, poetry, debate Championships
2025 for the greater Luwero Region and we will represent the region to the nationals in December Holidays.
iv. We emerged quarter finalists at the UCC Youth empowerment debate series and qualified to for the
nationals to be held in third term.
v. We are to participate in Hi -Skool crossfire Debate series by Quiz Malie Production among the 16 schools
still running, qualifying for the octal finals to take place at St, John Fisher SS Ibanda district starting 21st to
23rd August,2025.
vi. I thank the debate team and the parents for allowing the boys to take part and extending some invisible
support to the boys, together every one achieves more (TEAM).
13.0 ACADEMIC TRIPS
(a) The S4 boys had a successful Geography trip to the Western part of the country on 2nd May 2025 and returned
on 6th May 2025. We thank all the parents for supporting the boys and the teachers for the good job done.
The new curriculum requires the learners to be engaged by exposing them to real life experiences and as a
result we also had successful trips by the respective classes. We continue to thank all those parents that facilitate
us by paying for the boys.
• S.2 History students had an exposure to the Semagulu Museum
• S.4 History Study tour to Parliament and Judiciary was also a great success
• S3 and S4 held successful Entrepreneurship study tour to manufacturing industries in Jinja.
• S.5 and S6 Entrepreneurship classes had successful study tour to Roofings Uganda.
• S.2 Chemistry class held a successful trip to Lubigi and Gaba-Sewerage/water treatment.
• S.1 CRE class had a fruitful exposition trip to various religious sites around Kampala
• S.5 Physics trip to Mpoma Earth satellite station and SCOUL sugar factory in Lugazi was a success.
(b) CHARITY TRIPS
Our boys are also encouraged to engage in corporate social responsibility. This term they mobilized an
assortment of items mainly scholastic and visited Cardinal Nsubuga Secondary in Nyenga where they donated
towards the students whose dormitory caught fire and lost all their property early this term. We thank all those
that made this kind and caring contribution.
(c) TRIPS FOR TERM THREE
We therefore ask you to once again support the students in the classes mentioned
here below to have these study trips realized in term three.
This money should be paid together with school fees as will be reflected.
• S1 Physics to Kiira EV Motors Jinja at UGX 50,000
• S3 Chemistry to Jinja Industrial Park at UGX 50,000
• S3/4 Agriculture to NARO – Namulonge @ UGX 30,000
• S2 Agriculture trip to Kabanyoro @ UGX 30,000
(d) FOREIGN TRIP
The School has organized a trip to Mombasa from 9th to 15th December 2025 at a cost of 1,500,000/=. This trip
will be purely managed by the college staff and we encourage you dear parents to support the boys.
14.0 STUDENTS’ DISCIPLINE
This has in general been good throughout the term. However, there are some few cases that were handled
by the disciplinary committee where recommendations have been done.
We call upon you dear parents/guardians to continue guiding our son(s) on
discipline related issues and self-management. They need to be told to appreciate what is
given to them to avoid temptations. You are urged to be interested in what they carry from
school to home and vice versa to keep them in the confines of what is rightfully theirs. This
will help rule out any possibility of them carrying banned items or those that do not belong
to them.
15.0 HEALTH
The health of the students has generally been good except for a few students who suffered from cough/flu,
malaria, injuries and fractures from sports, and other ailments. Most of these were ably handled by our
team at the sick bay and more able medical institutions.
We advise that you arrange Dental and Eye check-up appointments for your son(s) during holidays, to
minimize on interruptions during the term from both parties.
NB:
i.
Boys picked from school for any reason can only return on a week day and is received from 8.00am
and not beyond 5.00pm so plan your movement well.
ii.
All drugs brought from home are supposed to be kept with the College nurses at the sick bay
iii. All school meals are compulsory and the College has banned the bringing and eating of
noodles on school premises.
16.0. ENDOWMENT FUND BURSARY
A total of eight students with credentials of exceptional academic performance, good discipline but yet with
financial hardships were carefully identified and vetted by both a selected team at the College and later by
the Endowment fund awards committee. A total of UGX 10,000,000 has been distributed amongst them
as partial school fees support. This will also be released for term 2 and 3 of year 2025 and will be subject
to maintaining good results, good discipline and verifiable financial need. We appreciate the Board of the
Endowment FUND for this support to the selected students in need.
17.0 PTA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
On the 28th July,2025 we held our Parents teachers annual general meeting (PTA).
We thank all parents who attended this important meeting. Being an elective meeting, propositions were
made and the congregation unanimously returned the whole committee to serve yet another term of
three years. We congratulate all of them and wish them another focused term of service to the college,

19.0 UGANDA MARTYRS DAY CELEBRATIONS 2025
This year we took active participation in both the schools’ pilgrimage to Namugongo on the
30th of May where our boys took part in animation of mass and on the 3rd of June in the
celebration of Uganda Martyrs Day.
20.0 CATHOLIC YOUTH CAMP
Some of our students are attended the Lugazi diocese Catholic Youth Conference, this
will be

hosted by Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga starting from 22 to 26 August, 2025. We thank the
parents that have paid for their children to take part.
21.0 IMPORTANT DATES OF TERM THREE 2025
Term III 2025, will open on Monday 08th September, 2025. All students are encouraged to report back on
that day. Please keep in mind that reporting time is strictly between 8:00a.m and 5:00pm. No student will
be allowed in school after 5:00pm.
Parents who are not able to bring the boys on day one of the term due to one reason or another, should
endeavor to notify management.
Any student who fails to report on the first Monday of the term will be expected to report the
following Monday of 15th September, 2025.

22.0 S4/S6 THANKS GIVING AND BLESSING MASS
We shall have thanks giving through celebration of mass for our candidates as
indicated on the events of term three summary table. Parents of the candidates will
contribute UGX 85,000 towards the dinner preparations. This money is to be paid to the
bursary on reporting day.
23.0 STAFF WEDDINGS
The bible says that whoever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour in the Lord;
I wish to inform you therefore that our teacher Ms. Mpamurungi Doreen will be joined in
Holy matrimony on the 4th October,2025. We pray for a good function and blessings to
them.
24.0 PROJECTS
i. Renovation of staff houses D6, C5, B7, have been fully done and works on B7 are at 90% completion.
ii. Reinforcement of the fence with treated poles and barbed wire has been done from the southern gate
down to Kisenyi.
iii. Construction and replacement of man holes and their covers all round the college has been done.
iv. Extension of the calf pen has been done
v. Renovation of Bierman’s house was done.
vi. Construction of the final floor at the new dormitory site is at 90%. We expect to have it ready for use at
the start of term three.
25.0 SCHOOL FARM
Our school farm continues to improve steadily, in all the sections, crop unit where
we have coffee plants, sweet potatoes, cassava, matooke, Sukuma wiki, tomatoes; in the
animal section our cattle numbers are growing with twelve calves so far and an increase in
production of milk supplied to the kitchen. Most of these supplement to improve the diet of
our boys in the kitchen section. The piggery section also continues to expand
steadily with now more than 30 animals, the rabbits etc.
26.0 CONCLUSION
Dear parents, I encourage you to carry on with the task of guiding and counselling all the children under
your care, expose them to house chores and various spheres of real life. Talk with them about
academics, finances, life styles and walk them through the importance of guarding oneself against drugs
abuse and other vices common to persons in their age groups. This will help them stay focused and
interested in their academic goals.
