Integrate Excel into PowerPoint
1. Open your PowerPoint presentation
2. On the Insert tab, click Object
3. Select Create from File
4. Choose or browse the Excel file
5. Click OK to insert a linked or embedded workbook.
Preparing a Balance sheet
1. Open your Excel
2. Click view tab and page layout
3. Merge the first three columns by dragging the first row to the end and insert the company
name in the first column, “balance sheet” in the second, and date on the third column.
4. Merge the sixth column and insert “Asset”. On the first row and first column under the
“Asset”, insert “Current Asset”.
5. On the second row and second column under “Current Asset, input different accounts
under “Current Assets”.
6. Get the sum of “Current Assets” by inputting “=”, then click the amount of each accounts.
Note that “+” sign must be inputted before you click the amount of one another.
7. Labelled the sum of “Current Assets” as the “Total Current Assets”
8. Repeat the process for Total “Non-current Assets”, “Current Liabilities”, “Non-Current
Liabilities”, and “Owner’s Equity”. Take note that “Total Assets” and “Total Liabilities and
Equity” should be equal. Make some adjustments. Bold those necessary text and
amounts. Put a double rule to every net or total balance.
Preparing a Cash Flow
1. Open your excel
2. Click view tab and page layout
3. Merge the first three columns by dragging the first row to the end and insert the company
name in the first column, “Statement of Cash Flow” in the second, and date on the third
column.
4. Merge the Fifth column and insert “Operating Activities”. On the second row and first
column under the “Operating Activities”, insert insert the accounts under operating
activities and their amounts.
5. Get the sum of “Operating Activities” by inputting “=”, then click the amount of each
accounts. Note that “+” sign must be inputted before you click the amount of one another.
Label the sum as the “Net of Cash Provided by Operating Activities”.
6. Repeat the process for “Investing Activities” and “Financing Activities”. The net if
Operating, Investing, and Financing Activities must be added to get the amount of “Net
Cash flow”. Then, add the “Beginning Cash Balance” to get the “Ending Cash Balance”.
7. Make some adjustments. Bold those necessary text and amounts. Put a double rule to
every net or total balance.
