Create a Cloud project
1.
In Google Cloud Console，navigate to menu logo☰ > IAM & Admin > Resource
management > Create Project

In the Project Name field，enter a descriptive name for your project
(Optional: To modify the Project ID, click Edit. Note: Project IDs cannot be
changed after creation - choose one that suits your long-term needs)

In the Organization dropdown at the top, select your organization. (Skip this step
for free trials - this option won't appear)
4.
In Location, click ‘Browse’ to view available options, then Select

Click ‘Create’. Google Cloud console will redirect to your Dashboard
Create a VM instance
1.
Log into the Google Cloud console

use the hotkey “ctrl o” to view the project menu, and then select the desired
project.

In the desired project page, click ‘Create a VM instance’
4.
Under Machine Configuration, first, update the instance name, then select the
instance region from the dropdown list; next, choose the required CPU or GPU.

Under OS and storage, click ‘Change’ to start configuring your boot disk.

In Public Images tab, you can use the filter to help choose Ubuntu from the OS
lists

Find the correct Ubuntu version from the version list using the filter.

Finally set the desired disk size.

Under Networking, configure firewall rules such as allowing http traffic
10. Click ‘Create’: VM startup may take several minutes. Ready instances will show
a green status icon, while a red exclamation mark indicates issues during the
setup process, and you should open the Notifications with hotkeys “G N” to
check the reason about failing to create the instance.
Connect to the VM instance：
1. In Google Cloud Console, navigate to the page of the VM instance
2. Locate the target instance from all instances > Click SSH button to connect
Delete the instance：
1. Navigate to the VM instances
2. Select the row where the desired instance is located
3. Click 🗑, and then click ‘delete’ to confirm
