The virtual machine used was Hyper-V.
In the setup process, I had the option to allocate space so I did so. I also had the option in the
previous step to choose a generation and I chose the second one.
I allocated some space for the VM to function, and in the previous step, I chose to use the default
network switch.
3
Here are the full details.
In the SCSI controller, I chose the DVD option and added the Windows iso file downloaded
from the chapter one file.
4
Here is the final look after all the modifications.
The launch of the VM on Hyper-V worked successfully.
5
Before getting to this there was a black screen, so I closed down everything, even the Hyper-V
virtual machine, and turned it back on now it is working.
I could not proceed further because of the Windows key requirement.
6
I then proceeded to press the option “I don’t have a product key” and then this window came. I
pressed on one of the operating systems but it showed an error, so the product key is a
requirement.
