What's New in December 2024
Here is what is new in the December 2024 release of Elements:
New Features and Enhancements
Admissions

Add/Update Student - We have changed the name of the Load Sequence button on the Activities tab of
this window to Letter Sequence Group. This ensures more consistency within Elements and improves the
user experience (Admissions > Students > Add/Update Student > Activities tab).

Add/Update Prospect - We have changed the name of the Sequences button on the Activities tab of this
window to Letter Sequence Group. This ensures more consistency within Elements and improves the
user experience (Admissions > Prospects > Add/Update Prospect > Activities tab).

Financial Aid

Award Transfer - We have enabled Print functionality for the Transfer tab of this window, which allows
you to print a report of the award transfer (Financial Aid > Award Transfer).

Add/Update Financial Aid Status - We have completed the following enhancements to this window
(Financial Aid > Maintenance > Status tab > Add/Update Financial Aid Status):
l
Updated the Package Enrollment Intensity % field to automatically default to 100% on the creation
of a new financial aid status record if the Enrollment Intensity is not assigned during ISIR import.
l
Updated the window to default to Show SAI instead of Show EFC for award years 2024/25 onwards.
l
Updated the following field names to improve the user experience:
l
Changed Academic Year to Award Year.
l
Changed Direct Cost Type to Budget.
l
Changed 9 Months COA to Pell COA.

Packaging Single - We have completed the following enhancements in the Setup tab of this window
(Financial Aid > Package > Packaging Single):

Updated the Package Enrollment Intensity % field to automatically default to 100% if the student's
financial aid status record has a value of blank, null or 0.

Updated the window to default to Show SAI instead of Show EFC for award years 2024/25 onwards.
l
Changed the Academic Year field name to Award Year for consistency throughout Elements.

Add/Update Transaction Document - We have increased the size of the Account Number and Opposing
Account fields in this window (System Manager > Lookup Table Options > Transaction Documents

COD Campus-Based Import - A new window to import Federal Work Study (FWS) awards from the
Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) (Tools > Import > Financial Aid > COD Campus-Based
Import).

ISIR Direct - We have updated this window to enable the import of ISIR files for the 2025-2026 award year
(Tools > Import > Financial Aid > ISIR Direct). You must first use the Yearly Setup window (Financial Aid
> Setup > Yearly Setup) to add the new 2025-2026 Academic Year and Financial Aid Year.

We have fixed an issue in the Student Admissions tab of the Add/Update
Student window (Admissions > Students > Add/Update Student > Student

Admissions tab) where, when adding a student, if you left the Expected Entrance
Term field blank, the system would not inform you that the field was not filled out.
Instead, a generic error message would be displayed.
We have fixed an issue in the Student Admissions tab of the Add/Update

Admissions tab) where the Expected Entrance Term field was not displaying
terms from the Term Calendar (System Manager > Lookup Table Options > Term
Calendar). Instead, while editing, only active terms were being displayed and the
