2. Compliance with Specifications
- As per Eurocode 7 (EN 1997-1:2004, Clause 7.6.2.3) and BS EN ISO 22477-4:2018, pile load tests shall demonstrate that the
Design Working Load (DWL)
Allowable Load (Qa) and that settlements at working load are within the Serviceability Limit
State (SLS).
- The settlements recorded for all tested piles are within acceptable serviceability criteria (generally
25 mm for working piles,
ref. FHWA-NHI-16-009, Section 8.4.3).
- The measured ultimate capacities exceed or are comparable to the design requirements, satisfying structural safety factors
recommended by EN 1997-1:2004, Clause 2.4.7.3.
3. Conclusion & Recommendation
Based on the test results:
- All tested piles have demonstrated adequate load-carrying capacity and acceptable settlement behavior under the design working
loads.
- The piles are therefore structurally adequate and may be accepted for incorporation into the permanent works.
Final Statement: The tested piles meet the project requirements in accordance with ASTM D4945, Eurocode 7, and BS EN ISO
22477-4 provisions. No further remedial action is required.
