MOVEMENT OF MOLECULES
The three types of motion that molecules can exhibit are
translational, rotational, and vibrational:
Translational motion: The movement of a molecule from one place to
another along an axis, such as the x, y, or z axis.
Rotational motion: The rotation of a molecule around an axis.
Vibrational motion: The repetitive motion of a molecule that changes
the bond lengths or angles within the molecule.

There are so far 118 known elements.
88 of the elements are obtained from natural
sources and the rest have been produced
artificially.
Uses of some important elements
Carbon- Our body is made up of 18% Carbon.
Hydrogen- It is used in the synthesis of water which is
essential for life.
Oxygen- It is essential for respiration, circulation, and
many more physiological processes.
Chlorine- It is used as a disinfectant for water.
Sulphur-It is used in the synthesis of Sulfuric acid.
Nitrogen-makes up 78% of the Earth’s atmosphere. It is
primarily used in manufacture of fertilizers.
