ACTIVITY PROPOSAL
COASTAL CLEAN-UP DRIVE
I. RATIONALE
Nowadays, the bodies of water such as the seas and the oceans are adversely polluted
with plastics, rubbish, and other contaminants. These debris of human irresponsibility have
detrimentally affected the marine life and biodiversity.
Furthermore, since the ecosystem would face imbalance if the marine life is harmed, it
is therefore the duty of people to take good care of it.
Thus, the Youth for Environment in Schools-Organization of Simeon Ocdol National
High School takes initiative to perform this duty. Together with the Youth Organization of the
San Antonio De Padua Parish Church, the organization proposes a Coastal Clean-Up Drive.
Optimistically, this project will surely spread awareness to the students with regard to
protecting the marine life and biodiversity.
II. OBJECTIVES
•
To conduct a coastal clean-up at Brgy. San Antonio, Basey, Samar.
•
To spread awareness to the student populace of SONHS about marine protection.
III. EXPECTED OUTCOMES
•
YES-O will be able to conduct a coastal clean-up drive.
•
The YES-O of SONHS will be able to spread awareness to the students about marine
life protection.
IV. PARTICIPANTS
School Head, SONHS Teachers, YES-O Adviser, YES-O Officers, Youth Organization
of San Antonio Parish Church and volunteer students.

January 25, 2025 at 7:30-10:30 a.m. at Brgy. San Antonio, Basey, Samar.
