1.Each team will have six active players (Including
the goalkeeper). The maximum squad size allowed
is 9 players(6+3).
2. Matches will be of 2 halves of 8 minutes each,
Two minutes of break will be taken after each
half.
3. An extra 5 minutes will be played in case of a
tie after full-time. Penalties will follow if there is
no result, even after extra time.
4. Rolling substitutions are allowed. There is no
limit on the number of substitutions.
5. Only interceptions, blocks, and clean tackles
are allowed.
6. Rough tackles are not allowed and will result in
a yellow card. Any tackle on the keeper inside Darea would be a foul, except in case of a backpass.Goalie can use hands on inside the D-area.
7. If the ball goes off the sidelines, kick-ins will
be taken instead of throw- ins.
8. The keeper can only throw underarm when in
possession.
9. The 5-second rule applies whenever the play is
resumed (kick-in, corner, goal kick).
10. Red card rule: 2 yellow cards or direct red
results in a player being sent off; the team will
play with one member less for the rest of the
match.
11.Corner kicks will be there.
12.Direct scoring from the kickoff is allowed.
13. All decisions made by the Sports Committee
will be final.
1. Team Composition:
A maximum of 8 players per team.
The total combined weight of all 8 players
should not exceed 600 kg.
2. Event Format:
Matches will be conducted in a knockout
format.
The team that successfully pulls the rope and
the centre marker over the line (marking the
midpoint) will be declared the winner.
3. Starting the Match:
All participants must be behind the starting line
at the beginning of the match.
4. Match Duration:
Each match will have a time limit of 5 minutes
unless a winner is decided before that time.
If no winner is determined within the time
limit, the team closest to the centremarker
wins the match.

5. Fouls and Violations:
Teams should only pull the rope in one
direction, and all players must be pulling at
the same time.
No pushing or lifting of the rope will be
allowed.
Participants must not use any means of
securing the rope (e.g., tying it around their
bodies or using hooks).
6. Referee:
The referee will oversee the match, ensuring
all rules are followed and enforcing the
decisions for fouls, violations, and disputes.
The referee has the authority to call a stop to
the match if the situation becomes unsafe or
any rule violation occurs.
7. All decisions made by the Sports Committee
will be final.
Each match will comprise three games in the
following order: (Order Type)
Men's Singles
Women's Singles
Mixed Doubles
1. Each game will consist of 3 sets of 11 points,
each with service-changing sides every 2 points
in a singles game and every 2 in a doubles game.
2. A player can play a maximum of two games
comprising only one game of each format-Singles,
Doubles. A Team of a minimum of two players (1M
+ 1W) and a maximum of 4 can participate in a
match.
3. The team winning the most games will be
declared the match's winner.
4. The order of players proposed to play
particular games will have to be pre-decided and
submitted to the Organizing Committee before the
beginning of the match and cannot be changed
after that.
5. In case of injury or incapacity to play occurs
during a game, no replacement will be allowed,
and if the player refuses to play (retires hurt), the
opponent will deem the game won.
6. All decisions made by the Sports Committee
will be final.
1. This is a mixed event . A team of 3 is required
which can comprise of both males & females.
2. Three games will be played in each match, i.e.,
each player will play a game against a player from
the opposing team.
3. All teams would have a fixed board order
during all the matches. Captains need to submit a
board order before the start of the tournament.
4. Standard chess clocks will be used during the
matches with 8 minutes time settings for each
player with an increment 2 of seconds after each
move.
5. Players must press the clock with the same
hand with which they have moved the piece. The
opponent player may ask the opponent to wait for
5 seconds if this rule is violated.
6. The touch-to-move rule will be followed
strictly. The opposing player can force the
opponent to move the same piece that was
touched. Once the touched piece is dropped to a
different position, the move cannot be removed
(except for illegal moves).
7. Only one illegal move can be made & the
opposing player may ask for a time penalty of 1
minute. It is a game loss if the player makes an
illicit 2nd move.
8. All decisions made by the Sports Committee
will be final.
1.General Guidelines:
• Each section must present a single cohesive act
based on a chosen theme.
• Performance duration: Minimum 7 minutes,
Maximum 10 minutes.
• Exceeding or falling short of time may result in
the deduction of points.
• The clarity and creativity in theme depiction
will carry significant weightage in
judging
2.Talent Inclusion:
• Acts may include any mix of the following
talents or more:
o Singing (solo/group)
o Dancing
o Mimicry
o Stand-up comedy
o Poetry/Spoken word
o Magic/Illusions
• Participants are encouraged to blend these
seamlessly for storytelling impact.
3. Fashion Element – Mandatory:
• Each performance must incorporate a ramp
walk/fashion showcase relevant to the
theme.
• The costume(s) used in the rampwalk must be:
o Self-designed or DIY by the participants.
o Reflective of the theme and creativity.
o At least 1 boy and 1 girl should be involved in
the ramp walk from each
section.
• The rampwalk need not be formal – it should
be integrated into the act as a natural
extension of the performance (e.g., as part of a
storyline, dance, or transition).
4. Performance & Presentation:
• Cohesion, transitions, and flow of the
performance will be evaluated.
• All performers must be from the same section.
• Props and costumes should be arranged by the
participants themselves. No stage setup
time beyond 1 minute will be provided.

6. Other Important Rules:
• Use of obscene, offensive or disrespectful
content is strictly prohibited.

the organising team by Sunday 12:00

Academic Committee members.
Other competent senior students may also be
eligible to judge the competition.
Competition Guidelines:
All the teams will sit together on the stage &
will compete against each other.
1 st round (Rapid Fire): Teams will be asked
questions related to multiple categories.
2 nd round (Elimination Round): The Top 2
teams of the 1 st round will compete for a
single question.
The team which will answer first by using the
right indication will be given the first chance.
The team with the right answer first will be
awarded the point.
Each section's Class Representatives (CRs) will

their section for the Extempore Debate
competition.
CRs may submit additional entries, but only
two participants per section will be selected
randomly by the Committee.

Literary Club of IIM Ranchi.
Other competent senior students may also be
eligible to judge the competition.
Competition Guidelines:
All the teams will sit together on the stage &

The teams will be given the topic on the spot.
The content must maintain decorum and
uphold the dignity of the institution.
