Enforced Time: Once you open CE 2 on LEARN, you have 90 min to submit it.

problem sets 4 to 6 will be assessed. Please refer to the subject and related sections below for further

Method: For this online evaluation, you are required to submit your final answers solely through LEARN.
Your selected or written answers on LEARN will be used for grading purposes. Additionally, you are
requested to submit your handwritten solutions or procedures on a Dropbox in LEARN. While these
submissions will not be marked, they can serve as a reference if you wish to self-evaluate your performance,
discuss your thought process with the instructional team or for your future study purposes.
Allowed or Required Materials: The assessment is open book and notes. You are permitted to use Shigley's
textbook and, course materials on LEARN (lecture notes, practice problems, and tutorials) during the exam.
The use of any other resources, such as materials from the web, contacting fellow students or anyone else,
and any software, is strictly prohibited. You may use a calculator (either a simple scientific or programmable
one), ruler, pen/pencil, and enough white sheets of paper to write your answers. The use of note writing
software, such as OneNote with your own handwriting, is also allowed and encouraged.
Agreement: Academic integrity is highly valued in this institution, and University of Waterloo students are
expected to personally demonstrate academic integrity in their work. It is also expected that you submit your
exam before the due date and time. Submissions after the specified time will not be accepted.
Answering your questions during quiz period: If you require clarification on any questions or, in rare
cases, if you cannot access the comprehension evaluation by the specified starting time, please do not
hesitate to all members of the instructional team via email, including the instructor and all TAs. One of us
will respond to your questions. Some common questions and their answers may be shared with the class
based on the instructor's decision.
