Q5: A parachutist jumps from a plane at a height of 1.5 km and reaches a terminal velocity of 50
m/s in 10 s. During this acceleration, he covers a distance of 280 m. He then continues to move
with this velocity for the next 10 s and then opens his parachute. Consequently, he then reaches a
new terminal velocity of 5 m/s in 2 s. Afterwards, he continues to move with constant velocity
until the cord of his parachute breaks 5 m above ground.
