Introduction
• Invert the top half of the bottle and
place it into the bottom half.
• The bottom half will act as a reservoir
for the water.
• Ensure that the end of the rope
(cloth) is long enough to be
submerged in water.
• The top half with potting mix and
place your plant.
• Water will diffuse into the soil
through the rope (cloth)
1st Advantage:
CONVENIENCE
• We can go for holidays without
watering plants in these
containers, because it will work
effectively as long as it contains
enough water.
2nd Advantage:
WATER CONSERVATION
• The water trapped in the
reserve cannot evaporate.
• A self-watering plant system
shows significantly lower
water usage than a traditional
pot.
3rd Advantage:
NUTRIENT RETENTION
• As we water a plant in a
traditional container, the
nutrients in the soil slowly
diffuse out along with the water
molecules.
• But, our closed system keeps the
nutrients within the soil
environment, helps the plant
flourish.
4th Advantage:
HEALTHY ROOT GROWTH
• Self-watering pots provide a failproof way to
deep-water the container without being
concerned about root rot.
• Well-cared for root systems encourage larger,
healthier plants.
