Involute gears
GEARPAK can measure involute gears.
The flank form of the gear has to be an involute. The term "involute" can be found on
the drawing. If this term is not given some gear parameter can indicate that this is an
involute gear. If a base diameter is given it can be assumed that it is an involute gear.

Input the nominal gear geometry parameter (e.g. number of teeth,
module/diametral pitch, pressure angle,…) given on the drawing into
GEARPAK and compare the calculated value for base diameter and pitch
diameter (= reference diameter) with the diameters on the drawing. If the
diameters are identical to those on the drawing you can be sure that this is
an involute gear.

indexable probe head (e.g. PH10Q) and SP25 or with rotary table

Cylindrical gears can be measured as complete gear or as segment
(simple segment, specified by number of teeth of segment).

Cylindrical gears with modification can be measured.
Worm
a.
Cylindrical worms can be measured. Enveloping worms can not be
measured.

The following worm types are supported: ZI, ZK, ZA, ZN.
c.
Cylindrical worms can be measured in scanning mode in
combination with the MRT1.
