How are DJI Drones Digitizing Assets?
Improved Efficiency
Increase the efficiency of your geographic information collection and streamline data
processing using drone solutions.
Reduced Costs
Save on equipment and labor costs by automating data collection and analysis with drone
and software solutions.
Standardized Deliverables
Gain accurate aerial data to create industry-standard deliverables like DSM, DOM, and 3D
models with drone and software solutions.
LAND SURVEYING USING DRONES
Drone solutions collect accurate, geo-tagged data quickly, while photogrammetry
software processes these data to deliver standardized outputs.
Drone mapping has opened up new possibilities in land surveying, instead of having to
use a total station, surveyors have now been able to utilize drones with powerful sensors
for data collection thereby saving time and money. The information captured by cameras
are just photos with meta-data which need efficient software solutions to convert them
into digital products like 2D maps, 3D models, DEM, DSM, accurate point clouds and
more in universal formats for further processing.
This is where DJI TERRA software comes into play as a post processing software for drone
data. It can produce 2D maps from visual and multispectral images as well as 3D models
and geo-tagged point clouds. A 2D –re-construction is very similar to a photo taken by a
drone facing down except that each pixel has a coordinate and the distance between two
points can be measured. A 2D multispectral re-construction takes advantage of
multispectral images which contain many wave length bands from visible light to near
infra-red light which can better reflect the plant growth state. On the other side, 3D real
scene models which can simulate the real world through photos captured at multiple
angles.
