Task Description
You will take on the role of a sports team manager or new owner (e.g., buying the Memphis
Grizzlies, managing a new AFL expansion team). Your task is to treat the team as a business
and pitch a plan to grow it successfully and make it profitable.
Your pitch should include:
- An overview of your chosen team or a fictional one
- The problem or opportunity your business plan focuses on (e.g., low fan engagement, poor
merchandise sales, need for youth development)
- A plan for how to grow the business (product, service, marketing or expansion)
- A breakdown of your costs and predicted profits
- A request for investment and how much equity you’re offering
- A clear explanation of what makes your plan different or better than existing options
