The word courtesy means polite behavior or good manners. In interpersonal or
intercultural communication , courtesy is defined as being respectful and mindful of
the feelings and cultural norms of others. It is a kind or considerate act. Example;
saying thank you is a sign of courtesy. It is essential for building trust and respect,
avoiding offence, maintaining harmony and creating a positive attitude.
