Panel Boards Description
1. Panelboard for New HVAC System (Rooftop DP)
This is the central distribution point for the new equipment on the roof.
Quantity: 1 set
O icial Name: Rooftop DP for HVAC SYSTEM
Function: As the main sub-distribution board for the new HVAC system, it will
power all ten Air Cooled Condensing Units (ACCUs) and the new lift.
Location: Rooftop (Outdoor)
Specifications:
o
Voltage: 400V, 3-Phase, 60 Hz.
o
Main Breaker: It is equipped with a 1000 AT / 1000 AF Molded Case Circuit
Breaker (MCCB). This rating is based on a total connected load of 593 kVA,
which corresponds to a full load current of 856.4A, with a 20% margin added.

Outgoing Feeders: The panel distributes power through several breakers:
Ten (10) 160A, 3-Pole MCCBs for each of the ten ACCUs.
One (1) 160A, 3-Pole MCCB for the Lift Machine Control (MC).
Two (2) spare 160A, 3-Pole MCCBs for future use.
Enclosure: It is a wall-mounted, weatherproof cabinet with an IP65 rating,
suitable for outdoor installation. The enclosure is made of electro-galvanized
steel with a RAL 7035 gray powder coat finish and allows for front access and
bottom entry of cables.
2. Individual Maintenance Panelboard for ACCUs
These panels provide local control and protection for each rooftop condensing unit.
Quantity: 10 sets
O icial Name: Individual Maintenance Panelboard for ACCU's on Rooftop
Function: To serve as a local isolation and protection point for each of the ten
individual ACCUs.
Location: On the rooftop, installed near each ACCU.
Specifications:

Voltage: 400V.
o
Main Breaker: The panel contains a 160A, 3-Pole breaker. This is fed by a
corresponding 160A breaker from the main Rooftop DP.
o
Cabling: It receives power from the main Rooftop DP via a 4-core 50mm²
copper cable with a 25mm² ground wire and supplies the individual ACCU
with a 4-core 35mm² copper cable.
o
Enclosure: The panel is weatherproof with an IP65 rating for outdoor use,
designed to be wall-mounted.
3. Panelboard for AHUs
Quantity: 2 sets
O icial Name: Panelboard for AHU'S , also referred to as Air Handling Unit (AHU)
panels.
Function: These act as sub-distribution panels that supply power to the ten smaller
individual maintenance panels located in the AHU rooms.
4. Individual Maintenance Panelboard for AHUs
These small panels are for the indoor Air Handling Units.
Quantity: 10 sets
O icial Name: Individual Maintenance Panelboard for AHU's on every AHU Rooms
Function: To provide local isolation and protection for each indoor Air Handling
Unit.
Location: Inside each of the ten AHU rooms.
Specifications:

Voltage: 400V.
o
Main Breaker: A 20A, 3-Pole breaker.
o
Cabling: It is fed by a 5-core 4mm² copper cable from a larger AHU
distribution panel (DP AHU) and connects to the AHU with a 4-core 2.5mm²
copper cable.
o
Enclosure: It is an indoor, wall-mounted panel with an IP54 rating.
5. Temporary Panelboard for Old HVAC System
This panel is a provisional solution to keep the old system running during the upgrade.
Quantity: 1 set
O icial Name: Temporary DP for Old HVAC SYSTEM
Function: To provide temporary power to the existing HVAC equipment while the
new 400V system is being installed and commissioned.
Location: Outdoor
Specifications:
o
Voltage: 480V, 3-Phase, to match the voltage of the old system being
replaced.
o
Main Breaker: A 1000 AT / 1000 AF MCCB.
o
Outgoing Feeders: The panel is configured to power various components of
the old system, including two AHU distribution panels (150A each), a primary
air-conditioning plant (800A), and the lift motor control (60A).
o
Enclosure: It is a weatherproof, outdoor-rated (IP65) panel designed for wall
mounting.
