“RE” verbs
To conjugate regular “re” verbs, drop “re” from
the infinitive to get the stem, and then add the endings
to the the stem: -s, -s, - , -ons, -ez, -ent
Perdre - to lose
x (infinitive)
Perdre
Perd = stem
Note especially that the endings -d and -ds in the singular
forms are silent.
In the third person plural the 'd' consonant sound of the
stem is pronounced because of the ending ‘-ent’
