Does the author have advanced qualifications and/or recognised

Does the author, for example, work at a university, or similar academic

Content
Does the article have sections, for example Introduction, Background,
Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion?
Is the writing formal, and language specialised (with evidence of the
jargon of the discipline)?
Does the article discuss and/or answer research questions?
Does the article have a very specific topic?
Is there is no advertising?
Audience
Has the article been written for professionals in the field of study,
rather than to inform the general public?
Charts, graphs, and diagrams
Do they communicate specific research results?
Are they referenced in the text?
Length
Is the article between 12 and 35 pages?
