Barrier Box The Advanced Driller Monitoring System (ADMS) delivers crucial drilling parameters at a glance providing an early warning system that can instantly identify problems such as drilling breaks, flow deviations, and pressure losses. Information may be displayed in easy-to-read graphical tables, dials, bar graphs, and charts, in both analog & digital formats, so the operator can quickly see trends at a glance. In addition to acquiring and displaying drilling information, the ADMS records and stores data in an Access® database, 10 enabling easy-to-use, comprehensive reports and queries. The basic system consists of a Data Acquisition Unit (DAC) Central Processing Unit (CPU), Driller’s Display Unit (DDU), and up to two Remote Display Units (RDU’s), twelve Slave Units, and various sensors. The sensors measuring the various drilling functions utilize intrinsically safe outputs to rout the signal through the DAC and on to the display units. The sensors and displays are interconnected via cables, and modems. All sensors are installed with quick disconnects for efficient installation and dismantling of the system. ADMS Software runs on the familiar Microsoft Windows operating system, accelerating the learning cycle for drillers and operators. The software also provides passwordprotected, remote use access via direct or satellite internet connection. An Electronic Drilling Recorder (EDR) configuration, complete with electronic signature pad, is available. A comprehensive operator’s guide and a condensed driller-friendly user’s guide are supplied with each system as training and quick-reference resources. Finally, 24/7 technical support from AOI’s experienced technical staff is always just a phone call away.
