Pole mounting kit
The Flexi pole mounting kit is designed for Tubular poles, dia
between 60 mm (2.4 in.) and 120 mm (4.7 in.)
Note :Do not Install with Angular tower leg

Only one module can be lifted at a time. Use
the designated lifting point only.
Fix the upper & lower mounting bracket
onto the unit
Tighten the M8 screws to 20Nm
Fix the upper mounting bracket of FPKA
onto the pole
Fix one side of the lower pole
mounting bracket (FPKA) onto the
bottom bracket of the MAA unit using
two M8 screws
Tighten two M8 screws to 20 Nm (14.75
ft-lb)
Hang the MAA unit on the two M8
screws of the upper mounting bracket
(FPKA).
Fix the lower mounting bracket (FPKA)
onto a pole.
Hang the MAA unit on the two M8
screws of the upper mounting bracket
(FPKA).
Fix the lower mounting bracket (FPKA)
onto a pole.
Tighten the two M10 brcket screws to
30 Nm (22.13 ft-lb)
Tighten two M8 screws to 20 Nm (14.75
ft-lb)
Adjust the installing angle. Double check whether the angle is available, if yes, tighten
the 4 Pc screws, if not adjust the angle, then tighten the 4 pc screws.
Make sure that the pole mounting brackets are aligned and the unit is not twisted.
Cabling Nokia Airscale mMIMO AAS
Connect the grounding cable
Install the grounding cable according to the local regulations. Tighten M8 bolts to
8.0-10.0 Nm (5.9-7.4 ft-lb) and M5 bolts to 4.3 Nm (38 in-lb).
Connect the Site Power cable
Assemble DC cable according to Step by Step Assembly Instruction (in DC
connector site bag).
Connect the LMP/EAC Cable
• Remove the dust cap from the LMP/EAC connector.
• Unlock the OCTIS Plug and disassemble back covers.
• Connect the EAC/LMP cable and lock down the OCTIS plug.
Connect the Optical Cable
• Remove the dust cap from the optical cable connector.
• Unlock the OCTIS Plug and disassemble back covers.
• Insert QSP module to unit OPT Interface
Connect the Optical Cable
• Move AOPA along cable to unit front panel, then lock down AOPA.
• Tighten AOPA with hand. During disassemble optical cable, unscrew AOPA cable
must be done as first step.
• Repeat steps for each of the used optical ports.

Additional spring
washer required to
lock Antenna clamp
Clamp washer supplied is having grooves at surface
of one side & normal flat surface on other side.
Normal flat surface side is to lock at clamp body. For
better gripping, this washer should have grooves at
both sides

Bottom/Top clamp of AAHC
• Measure & Note Mechanical Tilt
• Installed AAHC Assembly to be observed after 5-7 days
• To check & verify the markings position change

1)Check the contents of delivery
No damage on received parts
Complete material as per MRN
Shortage to be reported in delivery challan
Mail material shortage report to Nokia project team.
Module to be handled carefully
Proper tool should be used
2)Module preparation for installation
Always Wear Anti Static Wrist Strap while handling
modules

3)Installing the plinth
Bolt should be tightened with correct torque
Maximum two Modules should be installed in one plinth
4)Grounding Airscale
Airscale System Module/RF module should be
grounded before powering ON
Grounding to be done on plinth ,plinth from EGB
Crimping of lugs to be done by hexagonal crimping

5)Installation of DC power Cable
DC power cable must be of correct size (16sq mm X 2
core)
Power cable must be terminated to correct rating MCB
(32A)
Pin type lugs must be used at MCB end (32A) and
crimping of lugs to be done with proper crimping tool
6) Cabling
Avoid sharp bending on Optical and Power cable. Maintain
specified bending radius
Call cables should be routed from bottom of the Module.
All cable entry should be routed from bottom of the
modules incase of Pole Mount Installation.
Power cable must be separately routed

All the cables must be labeled correctly
OVP must be installed at correct position both for RF &
system modules (if applicable)
OVP should be installed for Airscale System Module where
Power cable length exceeds more than 10Mtr

GSM antenna should not be kept on floor directly. Use
plywood/Cardboard pack for placing antennas before
installation
Ensure ringwasher on clamps
Lock nut must be used for tightening clamps
Antenna to be taken up on tower with the help of pulley
and rope and all the teams should wear helmets and
safety belts during installation
Keep antenna away from tower legs by pulling the rope to
avoid damage to RRH Module
