The Clever Little Sparrow
Once upon a time, in a dense forest, there lived a little sparrow named Pip. Unlike the
other birds, Pip was small but very clever. He always found ways to solve problems
using his wit rather than strength.
One summer, a terrible drought hit the forest. The river dried up, and the animals
struggled to find water. Pip, too, was very thirsty, so he flew in search of a drink. After a
long search, he spotted a tall clay pot in a deserted hut. Peeking inside, he saw that
there was only a little water at the bottom.
Pip tried to reach the water, but the pot’s neck was too narrow. He thought for a while
and then had a bright idea. He started picking up small pebbles and dropping them into
the pot. With each pebble, the water level rose higher and higher until, at last, Pip could
reach the water. He drank happily, quenching his thirst.
A wise old owl had been watching Pip and said, "You may be small, but your cleverness
makes you mighty."
From that day on, the other birds respected Pip not for his size but for his intelligence
and problem-solving skills.
