Solutionss
Slowly Time Changing fields: expalin the period T=1/f, so that low frequency means slowly
changing fields.
1. From notes, to write out with sketches.
2. As in notes.
The equation of force tells us exactly how electric fields exert force on electric charges and
magnetic fields exert forces on current carrying conductors.
3. Example 1, The frequency is increased to show how very high frequenct=y fields induce
currents in small loops or small antennas like used in handheld phones.
4. Example 2.
To show how the iseas of conductor and insulator are freequency dependent. When the
frequency is increased what was an insulator begins to act like a conductor.
Rapidly time changing fields. Explain that very high frequencies mean T=1/f can become
microseconds and nanoseconds, fast time changing fields.
5. From notes. For Communication systems you can use mobile communication transmitter
and receiver to explain the use of electromagnetic waves.
6. From notes
For the magnetic field the intrinsic impedance appears: That is the electric field divided by the
intrinsic impednce is the magnetic field.
7. Two parts
(1) Part 1
(2) Part 2
8. Example 1. In reverse. Here electric field is given, must determine the magnetic field.
Same answer.
