ORAL PRESENTATION NARRATION SCRIPT
Slide 1: Title Slide
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to view this presentation. Today, I will walk you through
a communication issue within our company and its impact on three key stakeholder groups. This
is part of the ongoing work from Milestone 1 and supports our final project goals.
Slide 2: The Communication Issue
Since adopting a hybrid work model, many employees leave meetings uncertain about decisions,
action items, and their roles. This leads to missed deadlines, poor collaboration, and wasted
resources. Our goal is to identify the root causes and strategize ways to improve clarity and
follow-up.
Slide 3: Stakeholders Affected
We’ve identified three major stakeholder groups affected by the issue: Project Team Members,
Department Managers, and Remote Workers. Each group has unique concerns and expectations
regarding effective communication.
Slide 4: Project Team Members
This group consists of mid-level professionals aged 25–40 across global offices. While techsavvy, they are overloaded with multiple platforms. By standardizing meeting summaries using
Slack and Asana, we aim to increase message clarity and reduce confusion.
Slide 5: Department Managers
Managers, often aged 35–55, are focused on metrics and team alignment. They prefer real-time
updates and sometimes skip follow-up messages. Embedding action points directly into
dashboards and using structured formats will help maintain clarity and engagement.
Slide 6: Remote Workers
Our remote team spans various time zones and values asynchronous communication. They face a
lack of opportunities for clarification during or after meetings. We propose recorded sessions and
time-stamped notes to ensure information is accessible and understandable on their own time.
Slide 7: Supporting Research
Research supports our analysis: Olson & Olson (2000) emphasize how distance hinders
communication clarity. Lu et al. (2023) note that asynchronous tools boost remote productivity.
Rogelberg et al. (2012) confirm that ineffective meetings result in wasted time and
disengagement.
Slide 8: Conclusion
In conclusion, improving post-meeting communication with clear summaries and structured tools
can enhance productivity, promote collaboration, and increase employee satisfaction. Our next
step will be to outline specific implementation plans in the final project.
