Dear Parents,
As we head into the summer holidays, I wanted to share a quick update about the
English homework for your child. The idea is to keep their reading and writing skills
fresh while still leaving plenty of time for relaxation and fun.
What’s assigned:
Writing: Writing tasks are attached/ as below Cambridge Resources for Grades 7 & 8
We recommend about 2 to 3 hours a week — easy to fit in across a few days
without feeling like "homework" every day. A little bit regularly will help them stay in
touch with their skills over the break.
Reading ( Grades 7-10 only ): Your child should pick one book from the reading list
attached Book List (1).docx. You can purchase the book from any of the online/
physical book stores. You can also explore Project
Gutenberg- https://www.gutenberg.org/
Free eBooks | Project Gutenberg
No fee or registration! Everything from Project
Gutenberg is gratis, libre, and completely without
cost to readers. If you find Project Gutenberg
useful, please consider a small donation to help
Project Gutenberg digitize more books, maintain
its online presence, and improve Project
Gutenberg programs and offerings.
www.gutenberg.org
for a variety of age-appropriate classic book titles for free online reading.
Due Date:
All work should be ready to hand in on the first day back in school – 7th July 2025.
We’re encouraging the boys to enjoy the process and not to stress — it’s all about
keeping the love for reading and writing alive during the break!
