SECTION 7 Reason for applying
I am writing to express my keen interest in enrolling in the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics program at the
Caribbean Maritime University. My passion for engineering was ignited during my time at Herbert Morrison Technical High
School, where I was introduced to both mechanical and electrical engineering. This exposure has fueled my enthusiasm
for understanding and integrating these two disciplines.
Through my research, I discovered that CMU offers a specialized program in Mechatronics, which perfectly aligns with my
aspirations. This field, which combines mechanical and electrical engineering with automation, presenting an opportunity
for me to further my education while applying the knowledge I have gained. The prospect of developing innovative
solutions in this dynamic industry excites me, and I believe CMU’s hands-on approach and industry-driven curriculum will
provide the ideal foundation for my growth.
I am eager to contribute to and learn from the university’s diverse academic environment while honing my technical skills. I
look forward to the opportunity to become a part of the CMU community and to leverage the education and training offered
to achieve my career goals.
