For discussion 6 we were ask to attend a business seminar and write what we would have learn
from the seminar. The presenter would have spoken about the culture of a business organization.
The presenter was a representative from the JMMB organization in Jamaica. She told us about
the culture of there organization and also gave us some incites as to why the culture of a business
is important. I remember one of her examples as to why it is always important to know the
culture of your organization she said that it helps the organization to look unified and also gives
a better look for the business for example the way the business dresses, a organization may ware
a t shirt and jeans to work because of culture but because you are a new employee you over look
that fact and wore a suit to work out of everyone looking unified you would be the one out of
place because you didn’t take the time out to learn the culture of the business. She gave us some
other tips about the culture of and organization and how we can add to the culture and make it
better.
