Overview:
Local Brewing Co. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beverage
industry while learning financial operations in a fast-growing and innovative brewery. The
successful candidate will support various financial processes, develop key finance skills, and
contribute to the financial success of Local Brewing Co.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Finance Intern at Local Brewing Co., your responsibilities will include, but are not limited
to:
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
o
Assist in preparing financial statements, including profit and loss reports,
balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
o
Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights for decisionmaking.
o
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
o
Support the finance team in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
o
Monitor actual performance against budgets, providing recommendations to
improve financial efficiency.
o
Assist in the preparation of budget reports and variance analyses.
3. Accounts Payable/Receivable Management:

Help manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of
invoices and payments.
o
Assist with tracking outstanding balances, processing payments, and
maintaining accurate records.
4. Audit & Compliance Support:
o
Assist in internal audits and ensure that financial procedures comply with
industry standards and regulations.
o
Help prepare documentation and reports for external audits.
5. Market Research & Financial Strategy:
o
Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities, industry trends,
and competitive insights.
o
Collaborate with the team to develop strategies that improve financial
performance and drive business growth.
6. Data Management & Analysis:
o
Maintain and update financial records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
o
Use financial software to organize and analyze financial information, producing
reports for management review.
7. Business Recommendations:
o
Apply skills learnt to identify areas for improvement in the business – where
money most urgently needs to be saved and areas of growth to prioritize
o
Recommend unique budgeting, or fund allocation strategies, collating data and
stakeholder feedback across the company to optimize business performance
