Analysing answers

Work in pairs or small groups. Look at the answers to typical questions from part 1
of the Speaking section of IELTS. Which answers (a, b or c) are best? Why?
1 Do you live in a small place or a large place?
a) Large. It’s a family house with 7 rooms and a lovely big garden.
