Objective 7. Group Formation and
Independence: Establish new groups and
increase capacity of members so that groups can
operate independently and able to commence the
Symbiosis Partnership journey.
7.1 Formation of 20 Pre-Primary Groups
(PPG/FEG) through motivation by FO/CW in
Kusumhati Union of Dohar Sub-district.
7.2 Training on Functional Education (FE) in 3
items i.e., Shikor, Songjok & Proyog with 10
teachers (10 teachers x 3 items=30 members)
7.3 Routine class teaching of 400 members of 20
PPGs by FO/CW following FIVDB curriculum for 8
months from July’24 (six days weekly).
7.4 Conducting routine classes weekly by FOs for
40 PPGs on FE, Ledgers & Registers, Savings,
Loan Management, IGAs, Accounting, Cashiering,
Banking and Resolution writing during the year (40
PPGs X 48 weeks =1920 classes).
7.5 Training on leadership development for 40
PPG members in two batches. (20 leaders per
batch, 2 leaders per group x 20 groups)
7.6 Encouraging 400 members of 20 PPGs by FOs
to Create savings through weekly meetings @Tk.
25 minimum.
(Tk. 25x4timesx12months x400members =Tk.
4,80,000 minimum).
7.7 Conducting Quarterly Monitoring of group
savings, IGAs, investments and income growth by
the project. (20 PPGs to be monitored quarterly
basis 20 x4= 80)
7.8 Quarterly Assessment of 20 PPGs by SB Staff
on 7 capacity items i.e., Internal Management and
Operations, Financial Management, Savings and
Income Growth, Education, Health & Sanitation,
Social & Environmental Management. (20 groups
to be assessed on quarterly basis 20 x 4 = 80)
7.9 Quarterly Financial Monitoring of 20 PPGs by
audit tools. (20 PPGsx4 times in the year=80
Finance audits).
