Itinerary - Sabaudia Rowing Camp
Outwards travel – there are two different flights due to the main flight being fully booked.
Trailer Drivers – Mr Luke Reiser & Mr Ryan Hosking departing Wednesday 26th at
6am.
Early flight – 11.55am BA flight (BA0556) on Friday 28th March from Heathrow
Terminal 5.
o Minibus leaving at 6am for Heathrow with ONLY 5 pupils: Isak, Laura,
Freddie, Rupert, Archie.

Arrival at 3.30pm in Rome Fiumicino.
Mr Ryan Hosking to pick up from airport in school rowing truck and transfer to
Sabaudia.
Later flight – 3.40pm BA flight (BA0546) on Friday 28th March from Heathrow
Terminal 5.
o Coach leaving the COACH PARK at 10am for ALL OTHER PUPILS.

o Breakfast at school, lunch provided for the coach journey.
o Arrival at 7.15pm in Rome Fiumicino.
o Coach transfer from airport to Sabaudia – ETA 9.30pm.
o Quick dinner and bed, time to unpack and a later start given in the morning.

If given written permission and pupils have either a British/European or Schengen Visa, then
they can arrange onwards travel from Rome Fiumicino. Assume arrival at the airport for
around 2/2.30pm. All other pupils travelling under the School Visa Waiver, have to fly back to
Heathrow with the group.

Baggage Allowance/Kit List
1 checked bag (23kg/51lb), PLUS 1 cabin bag (56 x 45 x 25cm), PLUS 1 handbag or
backpack (40 x 30 x 15cm).
Training kit should be clean for each session, so enough sports kit to run 2-3 days (5-6
sessions) there are washing facilities. Long range forecast is 10-18ºC and low to medium
chance of a little rain.

Splash jacket or thin waterproof to row in (it does occasionally rain quite a lot, be
prepared…)

Trainers (it’s a 15min walk to the lake, plus they’re a contingency for bad weather
land training)
