ACTIVITY 1: INTRODUCTION
DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS
Human rights campaigns help spread awareness about the rights we have as human
beings,
as some people may not know their basic rights or recognize when those rights are being
violated
Another function of function of human rights campaigns is to change laws and rules to better
protect people's rights. They use public support to pressure leaders to stop their bias treatment
to those in special circumstances. So by raising awareness and involving media , these campaigns
can bring real improvements to laws and the way people are treated.
Spread awareness to students and teachers about human rights and how to recognize violations
through workshops and awareness campaigns. This ensures that more knowledge about human
right violations are spread and made aware so that it in future , there would be less human right
violations.
Encourage my school to have support programmes like peer counseling, mental health programs,
and safe spaces for students who feel that their rights are being violated.
Promote respect and inclusion in my school can help stop human rights violations. This can be done
by creating a club that supports diversity and equality and it creates a fair and welcoming
environment to those who previously felt left out.
People with low self-esteem might project their insecurities onto individuals who are weaker to
them just to feel better about themselves. By putting others down, they attempt to boost their ego
just to feel better about their insecurities.
There are individuals that bully others because they are afraid of becoming victims themselves. It
is a defense mechanism that they use becuase of their low self-worth. They do this by acting
aggressive or intimidating, just to protect themselves from being targeted.
