The Construction of Wuhou Temple
In the more commonly accepted account, the Wuhou Temple was originally established in 221
AD as a dedicated shrine in memory of Zhuge Liang.
During the Northern and Southern Dynasties period, the Wuhou Temple was relocated to the
same area as Hui Mausoleum and the Temple of Emperor Zhao Lie of Han.
In 1391,Zhu Chun, the Prince of Shu, integrated Hui Mausoleum, the Temple of Emperor Zhao
Lie of Han, and the Wuhou Temple into one complex. Since then, people have been
accustomed to referring to the entire area as “Wuhou Temple.”

For the poem:
"Shu Xiang“ is a poem by Du Fu, in which he expresses his admiration for
Zhuge Liang's great talent and loyalty to his country through visiting historical sites.
It also conveys his regret that Zhuge Liang died before achieving ultimate success
in his military campaigns. At the same time, the poem reveals the poet's concern
for his country and its people, and embodies his many expectations and hopes for
