1. INTRODUCTION
This Method Statement details the processes involved in the fabrication and painting of
structural steel staircases for the Wynn MarJAN Island project, in accordance with the
project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards.
2. SCOPE OF WORK

5. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

6. WORKING ACCESS
Fabrication will occur in a designated steel workshop.

10. SEQUENCE / METHOD OF WORK
1. Review IFC drawings and fabrication details.
2. Cutting of plates and profiles according to approved shop drawings.
3. Edge preparation and fitting.
4. Pre-assembly and tack welding.
5. Welding as per approved WPS.
6. Dimensional inspection.
7. Surface preparation (SA 2.5 near-white metal blast cleaning).
8. Application of primer and intermediate coats as per paint specifications.
9. Final inspection, touch-up, and preparation for shipment.
11. PROGRAMME
Fabrication schedule to be aligned with the master construction program.
12. RISKS & CONTROLS
- Hazards/Risks: Welding fumes, grinding sparks, paint inhalation.
- Control Measures: Adequate ventilation, PPE, fire extinguishers.
- 3rd Party Protection: Barricading work areas; signage.
13. TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- Welds inspected visually and via NDT if required.
- Paint DFT (Dry Film Thickness) measurements per manufacturer's data sheet.
14. EMERGENCY ARRANGEMENTS
