Quick Guide on How to Use Danaos CMMS
• Defects / Fails: Operational failures that lead to downtime. These must be reported to the client and recorded using the form GLX-FOR-MAN0001 – Corrective Maintenance Technical Report, including a mandatory root cause analysis using the 5 Whys method, mitigation actions and
comprehensive actions .
• Preventive / Calendar Jobs: Standard preventive maintenance tasks, including routine inspections and servicing.
• Postpone Politics: Used when the task is close to exceeding the tolerance of 30 days and/or 50% of the 1,000-hour overdue limit. In such cases, it
is mandatory to attach the form GLX-FOR-SGI-0156 – Critical Maintenance Risk Analysis prior to deferral.
• Corrective Jobs / Deficiencies: Maintenance actions identified during inspections, which do not yet result in downtime but require correction.
• Safety Equipment: Routine onboard inspections and testing of safety-critical equipment, which may result in corrective actions and
recommendations.
• Survey: Inspections and tests of safety-related equipment conducted by third-party service providers, which may also result in corrective actions
and recommendations.
• Repairs: Repairs planned for the next maintenance stop or dry-docking, as aligned with the superintendent. • Ship’s Certificate: Onboard
certificate management to ensure due dates are up to date and documents are properly attached.
• Inspections: Inspections carried out by class societies, maritime authorities, or other regulatory bodies that may lead to non-conformities requiring
repairs and formal recommendations.
• Running Hours: Equipment running hours must be filled no over of 15 day.
